The Dragon It Lives

The dragon, it lives. Thrives in a land far away. For we hide.
I and my song, we live so long. Together in a world of tears and broken bonds. Where the shards of a great race once were. I leave the past behind, my life anew. So lonely and few are we that once were. But the dragon, it lives! Still free to be. so I take to the sky, so high I fly. My mind is in the clouds, for there, peace is! Although recluded, the shy shall die for bold is my way of life. Secret yet true.

With fire by night I tire by day. To stay far away from any threat. And yet, i long for the peace we held. Fragile yet pure, simple and sustained. Where the sun melted any secret. though the sun has fallen. Monsters were thought of us, so they fought with lust. And to new life I trust, where my young can rest. Hope lies in the future. For the dragon, It lives! In all of us.

...I wrote this some time ago and it has become one of my favorite poems. I really do like it!

I'm Not sure what country the dragon simble came from. I think it's chinese.
